I also think I’m going to ship one of my luggage pieces – probably the medium sized one. I can’t imagine how I’m going to get on with no travel accessories. I suppose we’ll find out! I’ll put the clothes I need and things of less consequence in the big luggage case (maybe with the backpack inside it), and ship things I don’t need and things I am concerned about losing or breaking in the medium case, wrapped in clothes and maybe bubble wrap.
I have quite a few books with me, but I can ship those, and some can go in my luggage. If they let me, I’ll buy something to read in the airport. If they don’t, I’ll be bored to tears. It happens.
My medicines and vitamins I’m just going to ship – maybe I’ll get sick, but screw it. I can’t stand the idea of being held up any more than I have to be. And maybe I can carry just enough with me to hold me till the flight, and only be without them while in and out of airports. I can go a day, that will be all right, and I doubt the train or the ferry will have any problem.
And then there is the situation with the Welsh whisky, which I admit to being stumped over. Can I ship it? Do I send it through airline baggage, and pray? I am not willing to leave it behind. It is a tangible, consumable symbol of my victory. On this point I intend to be very stubborn.
Everything will be okay, won’t it? I am tired, and I want to go home.
