There’s no way a laptop box and my laptop bag are going to fit into my large suitcase. It’s incredibly huge, but it’s just not going to happen.
New plan.
I attempt to wrap and buffer all my electronics, and the laptop box with the laptop in it, and two bottles of whisky (and a bottle of Norfolk Punch if it’ll fit)… and the wrapping and buffering will be the clothes that I need to take with me, the stuff that isn’t easily replaced if lost in the mail.
Then I send the clothes that are more replaceable (unfortunately, these are the ones I always wear every day) in boxes, wrapped around bottles of vitamins and bath things that take up too much space.
Then I give my empty laptop bag to Dad, to transport however is best with him, and then send to me (from London or from Ohio, whichever works). And I give him my empty medium suitcase, also, and the bookbag Aunt Cheryl gave me, unless I can maybe stuff the bookbag with more clothes, in which case I will keep that. Because I can check it at the airport. And at least in that case I’m down to a gigantic bag and a little bookbag… which I can deal with on the train and the ferry, no problem.
My books and music could even go in the bookbag – they’re not going to be damaged badly if mistreated.
Could this work?
I’m terrified for my laptop. That’s definitely in character for Megan, I think.
