South by Southwest

Tuesday was the last day of South-by-Southwest Interactive, which I attended all weekend because, let’s face it, I am geek. I decided not to attempt the music festival, which started Wednesday and goes through the rest of this week—I hear rumors about hellish traffic and insane mobs of people. However, there were some interesting music-related vendors at the Interactive Trade Show that I’m going to want to post about as soon as I go through all the goodies I picked up (read: landfill). Folks who make album materials, folks who file away masters for safekeeping, music management software, music production software, tons of great stuff! I attended the convention as an individual, but I encountered a lot of incredible resources that will no doubt benefit me as a singer and as a design geek. (And, er, an everything else geek, with all of my… geekly pursuits…)

The point is, geeks are great. And that I’ll be back with you soon, since I caught a sinus infection on the bus. Ha ha. ;}
