Welsh Cheddar

Red Dragon CheeseThis is delicious.

I picked this up from Wheatsville this week: Red Dragon Welsh Cheddar. I hadn’t ever seen it before, but the girl working in that section told me they ordered it regularly (I think she said once a month or so). Here are the ingredients listed on the label:

Pasteurised Cow’s Milk, Water, Mustard Seeds, Malt Vinegar, Salt, Herbs and Spices, Salt, Ale, Mustard Flours, Dairy Cultures, Vegetarian Rennet.

I cut a small slice to try… but over the next 24 hours I ended up eating the whole piece (which thankfully wasn’t all that big to begin with). It’s very spicy mustard, it reminds me a teeny bit of wasabi or horseradish, but definitely mustardy (obviously). It is so awesome to find something with “Welsh” on it and find out that as expected, it’s just to die for. ;}

Yum!!
