Exhausted. That’s it.

This is going to be a very blunt, very long post, I can feel it already.
The pretty sunset airport pictures start here. There are just a few of them. The sun was setting just across from me through the big Cleveland airport windows and although it made it very difficult for me to watch an Angel episode on my laptop while I was waiting, it was pretty enough for me to take pictures.
The pictures of the atriums are, well, everywhere, but they start with duckies and go on, um, forever. The first time I walked into the atrium, on my way to the elevator to meet Missy Sunday night, my jaw just dropped. I’d seen the promotional video on the way over, but nothing prepares you for the real thing. Or the pretend thing, as it were.
We had breakfast Monday morning in Delta (where those duckies were), and then went to the Cascades Restaurant and Wasabi’s for sushi at lunchtime. I’ve been eating Slim Fast bars all week to preserve cash, but the sushi… the sushi was worth it. The sushi pictures start around here.
We had a bit of a debacle at Kinko’s. Is $0.75 / page really reasonable? Tell me honestly.
Dessert Monday night at Cascades again, then sleeping. I just realized that the best parts, the parts I really remember, all have to do with food. Oops.
So let me skip to something interesting. Last night we took a shuttle to downtown Nashville. There was a pretty sunset. We ate at the Big River Brewery, went to Coyote Ugly, BB King’s Blues Club, and the Wild Horse Saloon. We were all a little tired, I think, and mellow – but there was a lot of fun stuff to sit and watch, so we sat and watched. It was good.
Today we dragged ourselves out of bed separately; Missy got up early and went to a few panels at the convention, and I slept in a little bit, then packed and showered and made sure everything was out of the room. We had a very entertaining walk through the rain (and I didn’t say drizzle, I said RAIN) to the Opry Mills mall, where we had some food court lunch and I grabbed some ice cream. We sat. It was good. It was very good.
We caught the shuttle back to the hotel and we’ve been sitting in the cybercafe ever since. My hands hurt, my eyes are wonky, and I’m ready to go to Anna’s and turn into a vegetable. Is that okay with everyone?
